The Living Project

“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” - Albert Einstein

Imagine delving into the intricate and fascinating mysteries of nature and the world you inhabit. Imagine that your very ideas were built into a playground design and that you then helped to build it. Imagine exploring an idea or an interest of yours to its full extent, and then sharing the knowledge you gained with your peers. And imagine doing these things alongside a team of professionals who support your inquiry and guide you to discovery.

Children are naturally inquisitive and will always seek to understand the world around them. The Living Project celebrates this desire and curiosity in children and provides them with a diverse range of opportunities in which to explore and contribute to the world around them.

Through a series of incursions and creative activities led by one of our specialist team, educators and children will be invited to engage with new content and experiences for learning. Topics and activities are carefully curated, in consultation with each team, to support learning outcomes, curriculum objectives and student interest.

Our team of artists, educators, farmers and designers will work alongside educators with a collection of experiential activities which encourage curiosity, investigation and exploration to thrive. These experiences are fun, play based and meaningful learning opportunities for children and educators alike.

Examples of topics include: Urban Farming, Site Ecology, Playground Design, Land Restoration, Habitat Creation.

The Living Project supports children and educators to make meaningful connections with their Wildplace and with one another through real life opportunities to develop complex thinking skills, imagination, cooperation, research skills, communication, documentation and wellbeing. It will inspire educators and children well beyond the classroom.
